How do you stay motivated during a long job search?

Six months into searching for a Backend Developer role with 2 years of experience and the rejection emails are wearing me down. How do you keep going without burning out completely?

I'd push back gently and see what they say — worst case they say no.

Honestly this varies so much by company that I'd take any single answer (including mine) with a grain of salt.

I'd add: don't be afraid to just ask directly, most people are more open than you'd think.
